Training with Scoring Tech

Fundamentals, applied fast.

Our courses stack fundamentals. Expect no “gee whiz.” It's the basics, applied quickly to perfection, and measured every time so you can see the impact.

Courses

Five courses. Or one built for you.

Pick a course, or tell us what your mission needs. We can spin up custom courses quickly. Every course includes the pre and post assessment and full reporting on the course, students, and if instructors their students after they apply what they learn.

ZT30 to 300 yds

Zero to 300 yds

How to get hits FAST! It starts with a solid zero, built by you, not a sandbag or rest. From there, earn your distance with 1) tight groups, and then 2) fast tight groups. Do it prone, do it barricade, do it standing. It's a grind, but the FUNDAMENTALS aren't built easy. This course typically sees triple digit % improvement in hits to distance at speed.

ZT6Sniper and designated marksman roles

Zero to 600 yds

Get hits ALWAYS. Quickly. This takes fundamentals built with ZT3 (it includes it) and adds in the wind, distance, and ballistic skills to do it at distance - cold bore or repeated shots. Led by winners in long range shooting and experienced snipers.

HFSCarbine, pistol, or both

High Speed Fundamentals

Get early hits to 100 yards. This course is about efficient speed leading to early hits with as little risk of missing as possible. Go fast... but ALWAYS get hits. Run it stand alone, or you will see it as first block of our CQB offerings: first get hits fast, then hit the house.

Win the CQB fight

Led by former Tier 1 unit leaders. This course is customized to your unit. It covers small team CQB in urban settings, breaching, patrolling to the target, planning and executing.  Requires solid HFS standards, usually run first.

Learn it. Then teach it.

We teach your people to teach our courses. They must first do what those courses teach, and do it well. The method stays with you.

Custom

Built around your mission

Don't see your mission here? We can spin up a custom course quickly. Tell us the role, the team and what “good” looks like.

The JMAP cycle

Training is one turn of the loop.

It's a loop, not a one-off. We measure first, train to what the data shows, measure again, and go around again. Your people get better every time around. If we train your instructors we measure them AND THEIR STUDENTS (or students of students).  Then feed it back to always improve.

JMAP method
Repeat. Always improve.
1

Assessment design

Cognitive and marksmanship experts work with your subject-matter experts to design assessments for marksmanship roles, units, equipment and systems.

2

Efficient data capture

Place the assessment in JMAP and run test assessments for efficiency and accuracy.

3

Data science and interpretation

PhD data scientists, guided by marksmanship experts, give you detailed outcome analysis.

4

Doctrine and instructor development

Data and marksmanship experts design and test doctrine and training changes with your instructor cadres.

5

Implement at scale

Training experts help your cadre make the changes.

We always measure

Pre and post, so you know the impact.

Every course is wrapped in an assessment. We measure before, train, then measure again with the same yardstick. You see what changed, not just how it felt.

  • A pre assessment sets each student's baseline.
  • The same assessment runs again after training.
  • A data science deep dive on every training event.
  • Every student and every unit gets a detailed report.

We measure our success through your students' success.

Example student report: match place, hit factor, zero group, reload time, hit probabilities and where the time went

Example unit report: key highlights, percentiles, hit factor by stage and suggested standards

Ways we measure training impact

Every student is measured before and after, on the same yardstick. Pick one of ours or we build yours.

AMA

Agent Marksmanship Assessment

Built with the DEA for federal agent risks. Compare against real-world threats and the world's best.

IMA

Infantry Marksmanship Assessment

PMA

Precision Marksman Assessment

Designed by leaders of two sniper schools. Close to far to really far.

SFMA

Special Forces Marksmanship Assessment

What we capture

Example zero target: the shooter's group of impacts at 300 yards against the 4 inch zero standard
Hit Factor
Speed and accuracy together, every shooter, every string.
Zero and group size
Where each shooter really zeroes, with the group to prove it. We also use AI scoring to record all impacts, for each shooter, and the entire class.
First shot and reload
How fast the first round goes, and how fast the gun is back in the fight.
Skills
Target transitions. Manipulations: reloads, position building, jam clearances, and more.
Hit and destroy probabilities
Each target, every distance, every shot.
Simulated battles
We use the data to simulate millions of gunfights where early hits win.
Percentiles and comparison
Against peers, past classes and the largest marksmanship database in the world.

Beyond one class

Measuring impact at scale

We train your instructors. Then we measure their students, and their students' students. Every result feeds back into instructor training and doctrine development, so the next class starts from what the last one proved.

We maintain the largest marksmanship data warehouses in existence: PractiScore and JMAP.

How we teach

No “gee whiz.” Just the basics, done to perfection.

Our courses stack fundamentals. Each one builds on the last, and each is applied quickly, on the clock, until it holds up. The result is shooters who get hits fast and keep getting them.

  • Basics first. Nothing fancy, nothing wasted.
  • Applied quickly. Speed and accuracy together, the way a real fight demands.
  • Led by people who have done it & won it. National and world champions, sniper and infantry school lead instructors, and Tier 1 unit leaders and trainers.
  • Very high instructor to student ratio. Your people deserve attention!
